Talent isn't enough for me!

I never thought I had talent. If I did, I would have started writing years ago. I have been put down so much over the years by my peers and co-workers, I started to believe what they said about me. Then I remembered the quote from Jessamyn West:

"Talent is helpful in writing, but guts are absolutely essential."

I decided to be bold and write my way. I blocked out what others said about me, and didn't get intimidated by the ones with more talent. My gut was telling me to throw the reader into the fire with my opening of my book. That is what I did! Now I am so happy I did! I got amazing results and I hope to encourage others to do the same!

Remember writers are artists! We share a bond no one can understand. So don't worry if you have talent. Go with your gut, have fun, and share your art with the world!
